This is was a completely unstaged shot.
Max, our Bouvier and Grace, our White Capped Pionus parrot.
When he heard her flying towards him from her cage, he froze instantly....giving her a very stable platform to land on.
Even though Max is huge, he's VERY careful around Grace.
LOL! They really do like each other;
She tries to preen his fur whenever she gets the chance... &
He tries to kiss her whenever she's near his face.

This is such a special shot for me.
It was completely unexpected situation & I'm so glad I was able to get a few pics. It showed just how much Gracie liked our Max.
Max's death in April 2007 was a major shock to my family.
He was a really GREAT dog!
Even though we now have Jagger here, we all miss Max immensely.
